I am a software engineer, architect, teacher, and public speaker based in Melbourne.

For more than fifteen years I have worked on distributed systems, Node.js platforms, cloud architecture, and the engineering practices that make software dependable after it reaches production.

I write for working engineers. The subjects range from system boundaries and delivery pipelines to the changing responsibilities created by AI-assisted development. The aim is to make difficult technical decisions concrete enough to use.

My courses and videos extend the same work through longer explanations, demonstrations, and implementation exercises.
